RE: Free meals offered to our students – Extended Notice
In the wake of Hurricane Irma, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness (FNW) is working to provide its partners in USDA child nutrition programs with all the information they need to accommodate displaced Floridians and resume operations in the wake of Hurricane Irma. The state will be allowing the program to be extended for another month for families in Lee County.
All students in the Cape Coral Charter School Authority can access FREE school meals through the National School Lunch Program for the following extended dates:
October 23 – November 30, 2017
This will allow each student to have one free breakfast and one free lunch each day. Any a la carte items will still remain at full price. After November 30, your status will return to whatever it was prior to Hurricane Irma. We are happy to provide assistance to our families during this time.
